We are currently seeking highly motivated Team Accountant with a minimum of two years’ experience in an accounting/audit role to join our Oakville practice. This role is an excellent match for those wanting to pursue a career in Public Accounting.

Roles and responsibilities under the direct supervision of mentors:

• Prepare compilation (Notice to Reader) engagements
• Assist with review and audit procedures
• Prepare personal (T1), trust (T3) and corporate (T2) income tax filings
• Prepare T4 (payroll) and T5 (dividend) filings
• Perform any other duties as they come up

The firm will provide internal training and will provide numerous external opportunities in skill development.

Education and Professional Skills Requirements:

• University degree in a related field
• At minimum enrolled in the CPA program, or CPA
• Proven ability to juggle multiple demands e.g. member of university teams or clubs, part time jobs, high level athletics while studying etc.
• Familiarity with accounting software such as Quickbooks, Caseware, ProFile
• Self-starter with strong attention to detail
• Ability to deliver in a deadline-driven environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to liaise with internal and external clients
• A minimum of two years in public accounting setting with Canadian Tax experience required
